State Notification is a way for the State to create a record that the owner is no longer in possession of a vehicle. It releases a donor from liability over the vehicle, registration fees, and having to keep the vehicle insured.
Every state is different. If your state requires notification, please be aware of the following:
- Please complete all requirements for your state within the expected timeframe. Some states do not have corrections for error, and may require a duplicate title to fix, so please reach out to us for guidance if you have a question.
- The purchaser of your donated vehicle is not the charity. It will either be the vendor or Charitable Adult Rides & Services.
- The date when the vehicle is picked up is the date it is no longer in your possession.
